Paul Burrell Discusses Prince Harry’s Treatment and Spencer Family’s Support

Princess Diana’s previous butler, Paul Burrell, has shared his perspectives on Prince Harry’s experiences in the UK.

According to Burrell, the Duke’s maternal family has consistently extended a warm reception to him upon his arrival in the UK. He emphasized that Harry seemingly transforms into a Spencer whenever he is with them.

Burrell noted that these relatives of his late mother “have also embraced Harry, offering their support and protection.” He added, “when he visits Althorp, he reconnects with his Spencer roots, mirroring his mother’s heritage.”

Speaking on behalf of Genting Casino, Burrell further stated that “the Spencer family has welcomed him wholeheartedly,” especially considering Harry is “forging” his own path.

He explained that “they believe the royal family has deserted him, making their Althorp House estate in Northamptonshire his natural refuge when he returns to the UK.”

Moreover, “it is also the final resting place of Diana, providing Harry with considerable solace, particularly in light of his ongoing disagreements with his brother and father.”

Burrell reiterated that “The Spencer family has rallied around Harry, eager to shield him,” and that “when he steps through the doors at Althorp, he embodies the spirit of a Spencer, much like his mother.”

Before concluding, Burrell also addressed speculations regarding strained relations between Diana and her brother Charles before her death. He clarified that “while they had their differences, their love remained strong. I witnessed faxes and letters from him, confirming his deep affection and concern for his sister. He continues to demonstrate this by supporting Harry.”
