Hajj 2025: Flight Operations Finalized
The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has announced the completion of arrangements for the Hajj operation in 2025. The initial flight under the government’s program is scheduled for April 29, with the final flight planned for May 31.
A total of 342 flights will be used to transport pilgrims from Pakistan. Approximately 89,000 individuals are expected to travel to Medina and Mecca, according to a ministry announcement made on Saturday.
The entire Hajj flight operation will last for 33 days, with the majority of pilgrims being flown to Medina during the first two weeks. Six flights are scheduled to depart for Saudi Arabia on the first day of operations.
Two flights will take off from Lahore, and one flight each from Islamabad, Karachi, Quetta, and Multan. The first flight, operated by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), will depart from Islamabad at 4:45 am, carrying 393 pilgrims.
A private airline flight from Lahore, carrying 150 pilgrims, is scheduled to depart at 8:30 am, followed by a PIA flight from Quetta at 9:30 am with 150 pilgrims. From Multan, a PIA flight carrying 393 pilgrims is scheduled for 8:15 pm.
A private airline flight from Karachi, with 285 pilgrims onboard, is scheduled for departure at 9:30 pm, while another flight from Lahore, carrying 329 pilgrims, will depart at 10:15 pm.
The ministry stated last week that 23,620 pilgrims from Pakistan would be able to perform Hajj in 2025 under the Private Hajj Scheme.
Ministry spokesperson Muhammad Umar Butt said that the updated list of approved Hajj service providers for 2025 is available on the ministry’s official website and the Pak Hajj mobile app.
He advised all pilgrims who have arranged their Hajj through registered service providers to confirm their application and contract status via the ministry’s portal: https://pvt-inquiry.hajjinfo.org/. Pilgrims are also encouraged to use the Pak Hajj 2025 mobile app for updates and information.
Umar Butt added that all approved Hajj Group Organizers (HGOs) and service providers have been instructed to issue updated Hajj contracts to pilgrims, according to the allocated Hajj quota for 2025.
Butt emphasized that the Hajj visas must be issued by April 18, 2025, following the guidelines set by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
