PPPA Fills 15 Expert Positions, Aims to Fill 47 More
The Public-Private Partnership Authority (PPPA) has successfully appointed professionals to 15 roles thus far and is actively working to complete 47 additional technical appointments across various federal government departments.
This progress was highlighted during a review session led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, focusing on PPPA-related issues, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on Friday.
During the meeting, PM Shehbaz underscored the importance of institutional reforms, reiterating his government’s focus on this area.
The Prime Minister stated, “We are dedicated to advancing economic digitization, streamlining government bodies, and ensuring the selection of skilled experts for roles within public sector organizations based on merit.”
The PPPA kept the Prime Minister up to date on the progress of hiring technical experts during the conference.
The authority stated that 15 technical expert posts have been filled to date. Meanwhile, efforts are being made to fill another 47 technical positions.
It was revealed that 30 individuals have been selected for crucial positions such as Chief Executive Officers (CEOs), Chief Financial Officers (CFOs), and Managing Directors (MDs) across seven important ministries and departments.
The meeting participants learned that the Petroleum Division and the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission had finished the initial round of interviews for appointments.
To develop investment strategies, federal ministries have chosen focal teams.
Sector-specific roadmaps for investment have reportedly been created for information technology, telecommunications, railways, and tourism. In the meantime, sectoral frameworks for investments in food security, maritime affairs, minerals, tourism, industry, housing, and energy are being completed.
To find and allocate projects for investment cooperation with Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Azerbaijan, Qatar, and Kuwait, investment pitch books have been produced for 18 economic sectors.
Federal ministers and other high-ranking government representatives attended the gathering.
