Gold Prices Dip in Pakistan Amid Global Downturn
The price of gold in Pakistan experienced a decline on Wednesday, mirroring trends observed in the international market. The cost of gold per tola in the local market has reached Rs345,800, a reduction of Rs3,400.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10-gram gold decreased by Rs2,915, settling at Rs296,467.
The international gold rate also saw a decrease on Wednesday. The APGJSA reported the rate at $3,276 per ounce (including a $20 premium), which is a $34 decrease during the day.
The price of silver per tola in Pakistan also fell, decreasing by Rs70 to close at Rs3,427.
On the preceding day, Tuesday, the gold price per tola increased by Rs2,100, reaching a final value of Rs349,200.
