Gold Prices Decline in Pakistan Amid Global Downturn
The price of gold in Pakistan experienced a decrease on Wednesday, mirroring trends observed in the international market. In the local market, the price of gold per tola has now reached Rs341,900, after a reduction of Rs2,300 during the day’s trading.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10-gram gold stood at Rs293,124, marking a decrease of Rs1,972.
On the preceding day, Tuesday, the gold price per tola had risen to Rs344,200, following a gain of Rs3,700.
The international gold rate also saw a decrease on Wednesday. The APGJSA reported the rate at $3,235 per ounce (including a premium of $20), which reflects a drop of $23 during the day.
