German Consulate in Karachi Resumes Visa Services
The German Consulate General in Karachi declared on Monday the resumption of visa and consular services for individuals who are not citizens of the European Union (EU).
This announcement follows a suspension of services for non-EU applicants that had been in place for the previous week.
The consulate had stated previously that the temporary suspension applied to all non-EU applicants, including those with already scheduled visa appointments. These appointments were cancelled and will not be honored.
Impacted applicants were instructed to re-register via the consulate’s online appointment platform once operations were restored.
Earlier this month, the Swedish government communicated the reinstatement of visa services in Islamabad, which will ease short-term visits to Sweden for Pakistani citizens.
In June, US consulates located in Karachi and Lahore introduced new guidelines mandating that applicants for F, M, and J non-immigrant visas must make their social media profiles accessible for review.
