Pakistan’s Foreign Exchange Reserves Increase

The country’s total liquid foreign exchange reserves experienced a rise of $277 million during the past week.

As per the State Bank of Pakistan’s (SBP) weekly report released on Thursday, Pakistan’s total liquid foreign exchange reserves reached $16.875 billion as of June 6, 2025. This reflects an increase from $16.598 billion, which was recorded a week prior on May 30, 2025.

During the week that was assessed, the SBP’s reserves saw an upswing of $167 million, climbing to $11.676 billion from the previous $11.509 billion. Commercial banks also noted a slight gain of $110 million in net foreign reserves. These reserves totaled $5.199 billion at the close of the last week, in contrast to $5.089 billion from the week before.
