FBR Conducts Tax Awareness Session at Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry

On the direction of Chairman FBR Rashid Mahmood Langrial and Member Taxpayers’ Services Ms. Tahmina Aamer, the TPS Wing organized a tax awareness seminar at the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI). This effort is part of FBR’s initiative to promote improved understanding of the taxation system and encourage a culture of tax compliance within Pakistan.

Secretary Compliance of TPS Wing, Ms. Kiran Zahra, delivered initial remarks, which were subsequently followed by a detailed overview of the tax framework and overall operations of FBR by Second Secretary (Tax Education), Zafar Iqbal.

Participants were informed about various reform projects and actions being implemented by the FBR to improve the effectiveness and results of the tax collection system. A virtual demonstration was also given to the attendees, illustrating how to submit their returns using the newly launched, simplified income tax return form.

President of ICCI, Nasir Mansoor Qureshi, alongside other chamber officials, attended the session.

The event wrapped up with an extensive question and answer period, followed by the distribution of mementos to those who attended.
