Engro Fertilizers’ EnVen Plant Resumes Operations
Engro Fertilizers Limited (EFERT) announced the resumption of operations at its EnVen plant on Tuesday. The publicly traded company communicated this update in a notification to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) earlier today.
The notification stated that following the completion of scheduled maintenance, the EnVen Plant of Engro Fertilizers Limited successfully restarted its functions on June 7, 2025.
Previously, on June 5, EFERT had reported a temporary shutdown of its EnVen plant, situated in Daharki, Sindh, due to unforeseen maintenance needs.
The EnVen Plant, established in 2011 with a $1.1 billion investment, boasts an annual production capacity of 1.3 million tons. Located in Daharki, Sindh, it stands as Pakistan’s most energy-efficient fertilizer facility, recognized for its minimal gas consumption per ton of urea production.
Engro Fertilizers Limited, incorporated in Pakistan on June 29, 2009, functions as a fully owned subsidiary of Engro Corporation Limited, which is itself a subsidiary of Dawood Hercules Corporation Limited.
The company’s activities encompass the production, procurement, and distribution of fertilizers, seeds, and pesticides, alongside the provision of logistical support.
