Pakistan Shaheens Embark on England Tour

The Pakistan Shaheens are prepared to commence their tour of England with a schedule featuring both limited-overs and multi-day matches, starting on July 22.

Details regarding the dates and venues have emerged through a British news outlet, though confirmations from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) are pending.

The Shaheens are slated to participate in their initial One-Day match against the First-Class Counties Select XI on July 22 at Kent County Cricket Ground located in Beckenham.

Subsequently, they will compete against the Professional County Club Select XI in a pair of One-Day matches on July 25 and July 27, to be held at Kent and the 1st Central County Ground in Hove, respectively.

Following the conclusion of the limited-overs segment, the red-ball portion of the tour will begin with a three-day match against the PCC Select XI in Hove, commencing on July 29.

In the tour’s second three-day match, the Pakistan Shaheens will face a combined team comprising players from the South Asian Cricket Academy and MCC Young Cricketers, beginning on August 3 at the Canterbury Cricket Ground.

On July 11, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had announced the 18-member Shaheens squad selected for this multifaceted tour.

The team will be under the leadership of left-handed middle-order batter Saud Shakeel, accompanied by fellow Test players Musa Khan, Mir Hamza, and Sajid Khan.

These experienced Test players will be supported by 14 emerging talents, with 11 of them being under the age of 25.
