Weather Advisory for Eid ul Adha
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has indicated that intensely hot and arid conditions are expected to prevail across most of the plains during the Eid ul Adha holidays. The federal government has scheduled a four-day holiday period for Eid, spanning from June 6th to 9th.
In its recent statement, the Met Office has mentioned the likelihood of rain accompanied by thunderstorms and dust storms in the upper regions of the country on June 3rd and 4th.
The meteorological department has noted that moist currents are extending into the northeastern sections of the country. Additionally, a westerly wave is anticipated to affect the upper regions starting June 3rd.

Due to this weather system, the PMD forecasts dust storms, rainfall with thunderstorms, isolated instances of heavy downpours, and potential hailstorms in various areas from June 2nd to 5th, with intermittent breaks. These areas encompass:

Significant rainfall and hailstorms are anticipated in numerous locations on June 3rd and 4th. The affected areas include:

- Mandi Bahauddin
- Gujranwala
- Gujrat

The Met Office has cautioned that strong winds, hailstorms, and lightning could cause damage to unsecured structures, such as electric poles, trees, vehicles, and solar panels in the upper and central regions of the country.
Farmers are advised to adjust their agricultural practices according to the expected weather conditions.
