Earthquake Shakes Peshawar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Early Friday morning, tremors were experienced in Peshawar and several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The National Seismic Monitoring Centre reported that the earthquake’s epicentre was located in the Hindu Kush mountain range.

Residents in Peshawar, Mardan, Swat, Malakand, Dir, Haripur, Abbottabad, and nearby regions reported feeling the seismic activity. The quake originated at a depth of 148.2 kilometres.

According to the Seismological Centre, the earthquake’s intensity measured 5.0 on the Richter scale. Authorities are still evaluating the precise magnitude and potential consequences.

At present, there have been no immediate notifications regarding any property damage or injuries.
