The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has officially announced the expected timeline for the release of the CSS 2024 results. According to FPSC Chairman Lt. Gen (R) Akhtar Nawaz Satti, the results are scheduled to be published in the last week of April 2024.

Legal Challenge Over Exam Schedule

The announcement came during a hearing at the Islamabad High Court, where a petition was filed requesting that the CSS 2025 exams be postponed until the CSS 2024 results are declared. Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani presided over the case, with petitioner Hamza Javed and other candidates present alongside their legal counsel Ali Raza Advocate.

During the hearing, FPSC Chairman Akhtar Nawaz Satti reassured the court that the CSS 2024 results would be released as scheduled. He further explained that the commission had already finalized arrangements for the upcoming CSS 2025 exams, which are set to begin on February 15, 2025.

Petition Dismissed: Candidates Still Have Exam Opportunities

The petitioners argued that announcing the CSS 2025 exams before releasing the CSS 2024 results would be unfair to candidates who might need another attempt. However, FPSC maintained that delaying the next exam cycle would disrupt the recruitment process.

Additional Attorney General Munawar Iqbal Dogal supported FPSC’s stance, explaining that Pakistani law permits FPSC to conduct exams even if previous results are pending. He also highlighted that any postponement could create logistical challenges and compromise the secrecy and security of the examination process.

The court ultimately dismissed the petition, allowing the CSS 2025 exams to proceed as scheduled while confirming that the CSS 2024 results would be released on time.

FPSC has confirmed that it has already booked 88 examination halls across Pakistan for the upcoming CSS exams. Additionally, all necessary paperwork has been dispatched to examination centers, ensuring a smooth process for candidates appearing in CSS 2025.
