PLAAF Chief Lauds PAF’s Response During Conflict
ISLAMABAD: Lieutenant General Wang Gang, Chief of Staff of the People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF), has commended the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) pilots for their determined and calculated reaction during the recent tensions with India.
He stated that the PAF, under the strong leadership of Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu, showcased a perfect demonstration of accuracy, control, and bravery when faced with unwarranted hostility.
Lt Gen Wang, leading a senior delegation, met with Air Chief Marshal Sidhu at the PAF headquarters on Tuesday, according to a statement from Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The meeting addressed matters of common concern, regional security situations, and opportunities for greater cooperation, particularly in airpower and operational coordination.
Wang voiced his sincere admiration for the PAF’s high level of operational readiness and advanced capabilities. The Chinese military leader, impressed by the PAF’s smooth integration of Multi-Domain Operations, described it as a key aspect of contemporary air warfare, expressing the PLAAF’s strong desire to gain insights from the PAF’s proven combat experience. The visiting official praised the PAF’s leadership for their expertise and strategic vision, while also acknowledging the PAF’s outstanding performance in the recent dispute with India.
The Air Chief warmly welcomed the honored guests, emphasizing that Pakistan and China have long-standing and reliable relations based on mutual confidence, strategic alignment, and shared ambitions for regional peace and stability.
Lt Gen Wang received a detailed briefing on the PAF’s modern structure, strategic projects, and the advancement of its operational strategies. Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu also reaffirmed the robust relationship between the two air forces and reiterated the PAF’s dedication to expanding cooperation in the areas of training, technology, and operations.
The ISPR statement conveyed that the meeting highlighted the mutual commitment of Pakistan and China to strengthen their long-standing strategic partnership through increased cooperation and innovation-driven collaboration.
