Gladiators Bolstered by Chapman Ahead of PSL 10 Clash

LAHORE: Quetta Gladiators, the former champions, received a significant boost on Monday as New Zealand’s Mark Chapman joined their squad before their Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 match against Peshawar Zalmi.

The franchise shared a video on social media showing Chapman meeting mentor Sir Vivian Richards and receiving his Gladiators jersey.

The Kiwi all-rounder conveyed his excitement about debuting in the PSL and reuniting with his fellow New Zealand players, recalling his positive experiences in Pakistan.

Chapman stated in a video message, “Hey guys, Mark Chapman here. I’ve always enjoyed playing in Pakistan. It’s great that Quetta has several familiar faces, including some fellow Kiwi players. I’m really looking forward to joining up with them and playing alongside many guys who have competed against the Pakistan team.”

Currently, the Gladiators hold the fourth position in the PSL 10 standings with two points from three games, having suffered two successive defeats after beginning their campaign with a significant 120-run victory over Peshawar Zalmi.

Their next contest is scheduled against Karachi Kings at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on Friday.
