PABC Enhances Production Capacity

Pakistan Aluminium Beverage Cans Limited (PABC) has announced the completion of its debottlenecking and capacity enhancement initiative, resulting in a substantial increase in production capabilities by over 8%.

The can manufacturer, listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), communicated this development in its notice on Wednesday.

The notice stated that the project, which was previously announced on April 30, 2025, regarding the Board of Directors’ approval for debottlenecking and capacity enhancement, has been successfully finalized within the anticipated timeframe.

PABC stated that the undertaking was designed to resolve production constraints and balance line efficiencies, intending to improve overall operational effectiveness and boost production capacity.

The company shared their satisfaction in reporting that the objectives have been effectively met. Consequently, the company’s annual production capacity has risen from 1,200 million cans to 1,300 million cans, with the additional capacity now commercially ready and available.

The company, specializing in the manufacturing and sale of aluminum cans, expressed confidence that the project would improve its production capabilities in accordance with its long-term operational and capacity optimization objectives.

PABC had previously enhanced its production capacity by 26%.

At the time of this report, PABC’s shares were trading at Rs165, showing an increase of Re4.62, or 2.88%.

In 2022, PABC successfully raised Rs4.6 billion through an offering of 94 million shares at a price of Rs 49 per share, which was 40% higher than the floor price of Rs35 per share. The initial target was to raise Rs3.3 billion.
