Balochistan to Establish New Provincial Bank
The Balochistan government has announced plans to establish the Bank of Balochistan. The announcement followed a meeting led by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, where the project’s initial feasibility report was presented and approved.
The Chief Minister has ordered the preparation of a detailed operational plan for the proposed bank within the next week. He stated that the Bank of Balochistan will offer enhanced banking services to the general public, businesses, and investors.
He noted that the province’s residents can anticipate positive developments soon, as this initiative is poised to significantly stimulate economic activity across the region.
Bugti further emphasized that the Bank of Balochistan will represent a pivotal advancement for the province’s economy. The bank is projected to generate fresh job opportunities for young individuals and expedite the progress of development projects through the efficient utilization of provincial resources.
Provincial Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Nosherwani, Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, Principal Secretary Babar Khan, alongside other high-ranking officials, participated in the meeting. Experts in the banking sector also joined the discussion remotely, pledging to accelerate the project’s implementation.
