Raya Secures Improved Arsenal Contract

David Raya’s contract with Arsenal has been revised, featuring an elevated salary compared to his initial agreement upon permanently joining in the summer of 2024.

The Spanish international has reportedly reached an agreement on updated terms, finalized earlier this summer, though the club has not officially announced it.

Raya’s previous earnings at the Emirates were approximately £100,000 per week. Following the new accord, his compensation has increased, while the contract duration remains unchanged.

The Spanish goalkeeper has reportedly committed to a deal extending until 2028, which incorporates an option for a further extension.

Leandro Trossard also finalized a parallel agreement this summer, securing an enhanced contract without altering his current deal’s expiration in 2027.

Raya, recognized among the Premier League’s top goalkeepers, initially arrived at Arsenal on loan from Brentford in 2023. Subsequently, his outstanding performance led to a long-term contract with the Gunners.

Reports also indicate that Arsenal has commenced discussions with Dutch defender Jurrien Timber regarding a new contract, aiming to ensure his continued presence beyond his existing agreement, set to conclude in 2028.

The club is also making advancements in contract negotiations with Bukayo Saka, while William Saliba’s recent signing of a new long-term contract has been officially confirmed.

Center-back Gabriel Magalhaes has similarly prolonged his commitment to Mikel Arteta’s squad, extending his deal until 2029.
