COAS Celebrates Eid with Troops on Western Border

On Monday, Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir marked Eid ul Fitr by visiting Wana in South Waziristan and Chehkan in Dera Ismail Khan. He spent the day with officers and troops stationed on the western border, according to a statement released by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The military’s media wing reported that Gen Munir participated in Eid prayers, offering prayers for the nation’s sustained stability and prosperity.
During his interaction with the troops, the COAS conveyed his heartfelt Eid greetings. He commended their steadfast dedication and exceptional service to the country.
He remarked, “Your dedication and resilience not only safeguard our homeland but also demonstrate your deep-seated love for Pakistan.”
The COAS lauded the performance of the armed forces and law enforcement agencies (LEAs), as well as the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, for their courage in the face of terrorism.
Acknowledging the formations’ relentless efforts, the Army Chief credited their achievements to the sacrifices made by the nation’s martyrs and those dedicated to achieving lasting peace and stability.
Upon his arrival, the COAS was warmly welcomed by the Corps Commander Peshawar.
