Alexander-Arnold Describes Real Madrid Signing as a ‘Dream Come True’
During his introductory press conference on Thursday, English midfielder Trent Alexander-Arnold greeted fans in Spanish as he was unveiled as a Real Madrid player.
Alexander-Arnold’s previous contract with Liverpool was set to expire on June 30, making him a free agent. However, Real Madrid compensated the Reds to secure his early release.
The former Liverpool player may soon debut in a Real Madrid uniform, with potential involvement in this month’s Club World Cup.
Real Madrid President Florentino Perez officially welcomed the right-back through a video highlighting Alexander-Arnold’s career goals.
Expressing his thanks to the fans and the President in Spanish, Alexander-Arnold conveyed that joining a club like Real Madrid is a realization of a dream and pledged his full commitment to the team.
“I extend my sincere gratitude to President Florentino Perez and Real Madrid for this opportunity,” Alexander-Arnold stated.
“The chance to sign with an organization like Real Madrid is a rare one. It’s truly a dream come true. I feel incredibly happy and honored to be here. I am eager to demonstrate my abilities to the club and its supporters.”
Alexander-Arnold further added that he is prepared to give his all for the Madrid supporters and aims to secure championships for Los Blancos.
“I’m ready to dedicate everything for the team and the Real Madrid fans.
“I aim to showcase my capabilities, secure numerous titles, become champions, and continue to develop and relish the sport with the world’s best.”
