Al Hilal Reportedly Offers Inzaghi €50 Million for Two-Year Deal
Simone Inzaghi has reportedly concluded his tenure as the manager of Inter Milan to take on a new role with Saudi Pro League’s Al-Hilal, according to an official statement released by the Italian club on Tuesday.
After a significant 5-0 defeat in the Champions League final, Inzaghi will depart and will not be at the helm for Milan in the upcoming Club World Cup.
While Milan’s administration attempted to extend a new contract to Simone Inzaghi, it is understood that Inzaghi has expressed a strong desire to join Al Hilal.
International media sources indicate that Al Hilal is set to compensate Inzaghi with €50 million over a two-year period in Riyadh, potentially positioning him among the highest-paid managers globally.
Following his four-year association with the club, Inzaghi conveyed a heartfelt message to the fans, reflecting on his time and acknowledging certain regrets.
Inzaghi confirmed the conclusion of his chapter at Milan, signaling his departure with a message:
“Dear Nerazzurri family,” Inzaghi stated.
“The moment has arrived for me to bid farewell to this club following a four-year journey, during which I committed myself entirely.
“Each day, Inter was my first and last thought. My dedication was met with professionalism and passion from the players, management, and every individual within the club.”
Inzaghi reminisced about securing six trophies with the team and expressed gratitude to the staff and players for their unwavering support throughout his period at Inter.
He further acknowledged the difficulty of his decision before expressing his thanks to the Inter Milan supporters for their backing over the years.
“The six trophies secured, notably the Second Star Scudetto, along with our journey in the Uefa Champions League in 2023, stand as a clear demonstration of the strong support my work received from my team and every member of Inter.
“I extend my appreciation to the shareholders for their constant trust, and to the President and his colleagues for their continuous assistance and communication.
“On a challenging day like today, it feels appropriate to reaffirm my gratitude, especially regarding the recent discussions.
“We engaged in open dialogue and collectively decided to bring this remarkable journey to a close.
“I wish to dedicate my final words to the millions of Nerazzurri fans who cheered for me, shared tears and endured difficult times.
“We shared laughter and celebrated the six victories we achieved together.
“I will hold you in my memory forever.
“Forza Inter.”
