Meeting on Crypto Policy and Web3 Innovation
Bilal bin Saqib, the Minister of State for Crypto and Blockchain, recently engaged in discussions with Robert Bo Hines, Executive Director of President Trump’s Council on Digital Assets.
According to a press release, their conversation centered on the worldwide coordination of cryptocurrency policy and Pakistan’s ambitious goals to establish itself as a regional center for Web3 advancement.
This discussion follows the minister’s trip to the United States in June, during which he participated in in-depth meetings with prominent American legislators, including Senators Cynthia Lummis, Tim Sheehy, and Rick Scott, as well as New York City Mayor Eric Adams and Bo Hines.
The meeting also occurs after US President Donald Trump revealed that his government had reached an agreement with Pakistan, in which Washington would collaborate with Islamabad to develop the South Asian country’s oil resources.
“We have just finalized an agreement with Pakistan, in which Pakistan and the United States will collaborate to develop their vast oil reserves,” Trump stated on social media.
“We are currently in the process of selecting the oil company to lead this partnership. Who knows, they may one day be selling oil to India!”
