Trophy Unveiled for Pakistan vs. South Africa Test Series
The trophy for the forthcoming two-match Test series between Pakistan and South Africa was revealed at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, this Saturday, setting the stage for the competition that begins Sunday.
Captains Shan Masood of Pakistan and Aiden Markram of South Africa participated in a photoshoot with the trophy after its unveiling.
The two team leaders also toured the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Museum, situated at the National Cricket Academy, where they viewed displays of historic accolades, prominently including the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 1992, the T20 World Cup 2009, and the Champions Trophy 2017.
The first Test match is scheduled to take place at Gaddafi Stadium from October 12 to 16, and the second will follow at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from October 20 to 24.
Notably, this series marks South Africa’s first Test appearance in Pakistan since January 2021, during which they were defeated 2-0 by the home team.
Following the Test matches, a three-match T20I series between Pakistan and South Africa is scheduled from October 28 to November 1, with the initial match in Rawalpindi and the subsequent two at Gaddafi Stadium.
The tour is set to conclude with a series of three ODI matches from November 4 to 8 at Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad.
