Pakistan Shaheens to Inaugurate Top End T20 Series Against Bangladesh ‘A’ on August 14
DARWIN: The trophy for the 11-team Top End T20 Series, featuring Pakistan Shaheens, Bangladesh ‘A’, and Nepal, was revealed on Wednesday.
The trophy-unveiling event, which occurred on a local beach, saw the attendance of Shaheens’ captain Muhammad Irfan Khan along with his Bangladesh ‘A’ and Nepal counterparts, Quazi Nurul Hasan Sohan and Rohit Paudel.
The three captains posed with the trophy, against the backdrop of a sunset over the ocean.
The Top End T20 Series will host a record 11 teams, including five Big Bash League (BBL) Academy squads, three international teams, and Australian regional teams.
Headlining the lineup is the BBL 14 champions, Hobart Hurricanes Academy, along with Academy teams from the Perth Scorchers, Melbourne Stars, Melbourne Renegades, and Adelaide Strikers.
On the international side, Nepal’s national team, Pakistan Shaheens, Bangladesh ‘A’, and USA-based Chicago Kingsmen will compete alongside Australian domestic teams ACT Comets and NT Strike.
The tournament commences on August 14 with Pakistan Shaheens playing Bangladesh ‘A’ at the TIO Stadium in Darwin.
The Shaheens will then face the Scorchers on August 16, the Renegades on August 18, and the Strikers on August 20, followed by Nepal on August 22, with the final set for August 24.
