A social media influencer known for her TikTok content was allegedly killed by her husband in Islamabad on Sunday. The incident occurred near a shopping mall within the Humak Police Station’s jurisdiction. Authorities are investigating the scene, where evidence suggests the husband fatally shot his wife before taking his own life.
The victim has been identified as Sana Javed, who operated a TikTok account under the name OutLofara and hailed from Attock. Police sources indicate the perpetrator, Muhammad Sadiq, also from Attock, was a former constable dismissed from the Attock Police force. The sequence of events points to him intentionally firing upon his wife before turning the weapon on himself.
Investigators recovered a 9mm pistol and three spent bullet casings from the location where the tragedy unfolded. The initial report filed with the police came from a private security guard on duty at a nearby market. He recounted hearing gunshots on the first day of Eidul Fitr and discovering a woman lying on the ground.
The security guard further stated that the man he observed at the scene, believed to be around 24 years old, was holding a pistol and subsequently shot himself. He promptly alerted his supervisors, who then contacted the police to take over the investigation. This incident adds to a growing concern about violence affecting social media personalities.
This event brings to mind a similar case last year where police arrested a suspect in the murder of 17-year-old TikToker Sana Yousaf, who was also shot and killed in the capital. At that time, authorities alleged the suspect acted after repeated rejections of his advances, highlighting a pattern of violence linked to personal relationships and social media presence.
