OGRA Announces Minor Increase in RLNG Rate for September
ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a marginal rise in the price of imported Re-Gasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) for September, following a corresponding increase in Delivered Ex-Ship (DES) costs.
According to OGRA’s provisional notification regarding the weighted average sale price of RLNG, the slight adjustment reflects a minor increase in DES prices.
Specifically, consumers within the Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC) network will experience a 2.63 percent increase in distribution costs, moving from USD 10.7285 per mmbtu to USD 11.0105 per mmbtu. Similarly, transmission costs have been adjusted from USD 9.6097 to USD 9.8619 per mmbtu.
For Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) customers, the RLNG price has seen a modest increase from USD 11.7330 per mmbtu to USD 12.0127 per mmbtu at the distribution level. Transmission prices have also risen, from USD 10.9770 per mmbtu to USD 11.2365 per mmbtu.
The updated pricing is based on eight LNG shipments procured by Pakistan State Oil (PSO) through established long-term agreements with Qatar.
