Sindh Announces Public Holiday for Labour Day
The Sindh government has officially declared May 1st (Wednesday) as a public holiday throughout the province to commemorate International Labour Day.
According to an official statement from the Services, General Administration and Coordination Department, all governmental and semi-governmental offices will be closed on this day.
Similarly, all educational institutions, encompassing schools, colleges, and universities, will also remain closed in observance of the holiday.
Globally, Labour Day, also referred to as May Day, is observed annually on May 1st to demonstrate support for workers and to recognize the rights of the working class.
The objective of this day is to promote initiatives that offer job security to laborers and industrial employees, shielding them from exploitation.
