Shahir Afridi Clinches Victory Against Trijot Singh Bawa
In a thrilling middleweight boxing contest held in Thailand, Pakistani fighter Shahir Afridi showcased his dominance against India’s Trijot Singh Bawa, securing a technical knockout (TKO) victory in the fourth round.
Afridi launched a series of powerful blows right from the start, forcing his Indian adversary to defend. By the third round, Singh appeared unsteady, struggling against Afridi’s relentless offensive.
Early in the fourth round, observing Bawa’s evident inability to protect himself, the referee intervened, declaring Afridi the winner by TKO.
This triumph signifies a major achievement for Afridi, who now holds a professional record of 16 wins out of 18 matches, with only one defeat and one draw.
The match was part of a prominent international event, and Afridi’s win further solidifies his standing in the middleweight division.
The 27-year-old, known as ‘The Markhor,’ is also a member of the Rapid Response Force within the Sindh Police.
Adding to Pakistan’s success, Aalia Soomro, in the women’s division, also impressed by knocking out her Thai opponent in the first round.
