PSL 10 Matches Rescheduled Due to Heat and Logistical Concerns

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced the rescheduling of two Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 games, citing both operational logistics and recent heat waves across the region as contributing factors.

According to a statement from the PCB, the daytime match on May 1, originally planned as a double-header featuring Multan Sultans versus Karachi Kings at the Multan Cricket Stadium, has been relocated to Gaddafi Stadium.

As a result, Gaddafi Stadium will now be the exclusive venue for the May 1 double-header. The subsequent game between the Lahore Qalandars and the Quetta Gladiators will proceed as planned at the same location.

Moreover, the final Multan-leg match, featuring the Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators, has been pushed back to the evening of May 11.

The cricket board stated that this decision was made to prioritize ‘operational ease’ and accommodate the challenges presented by the recent heat waves affecting various areas.

Previously, sources indicated that the PCB was considering rescheduling these matches at the request of the tournament’s broadcast partners, who were facing significant logistical hurdles.

In the current standings, Islamabad United leads the tournament, boasting a perfect record of five wins in five matches, accumulating 10 points.

Lahore Qalandars currently holds the second position with three victories and three losses in six games, totaling six points. The Karachi Kings are placed third, mirroring Lahore’s win-loss record but with a net run rate of -0.217.

Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators hold the fourth and fifth positions respectively, each securing two wins and four points. Multan Sultans are currently at the bottom of the table, having won only one of their six matches and earning two points.
