Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Doha on Monday for a two-day official visit, accepting an invitation from Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. Upon his arrival at King Hammad International Airport, the Prime Minister was greeted by Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi. Accompanying the Prime Minister are Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, along with other senior officials and ministers, as confirmed by the Foreign Office. This visit highlights the strong fraternal bonds between the two nations and their shared dedication to enhancing broad-based cooperation.
During his stay in Doha, Prime Minister Shehbaz is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with the Emir of Qatar. The discussions are expected to cover a wide range of bilateral relations, including political engagement, economic collaboration, energy partnerships, and people-to-people exchanges. The two sides will also explore new opportunities for cooperation, with a particular focus on trade, investment, energy, infrastructure development, and manpower export.
Both countries have a long-standing partnership built on mutual trust and close coordination in regional and international forums. The visit also presents an opportunity for the leaders to exchange views on regional and global developments of mutual interest, reinforcing their commitment to working together for peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
