Prime Minister Sharif Advocates for Stronger Ties with UAE

In a recent meeting held on Monday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif underscored Pakistan’s robust relationship with the United Arab Emirates (UAE). He emphasized the need for increased economic cooperation and more significant involvement across various sectors.

These remarks were delivered during discussions with UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is currently in Islamabad for a formal two-day visit.

Sharif extended his best wishes to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and expressed gratitude for the UAE’s continued assistance in multiple areas.

Discussions on Bilateral Cooperation

Both parties conveyed their satisfaction with the current state of affairs between the two nations. They also explored avenues to enhance collaboration in sectors, including trade, investments, energy, and cultural exchanges.

The Prime Minister stated Pakistan’s intention to translate strong diplomatic bonds into a more comprehensive economic alliance. Furthermore, the two leaders exchanged perspectives on current regional and international affairs.

Sheikh Abdullah acknowledged the contributions of the Pakistani community residing in the UAE and reaffirmed his country’s dedication to broadening bilateral cooperation.
