PMDC Modernizes Medical College Inspections with Digital Training Program

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has announced the launch of a nationwide Digital Inspector Training Program, scheduled for December 9–11, 2025, as part of its efforts to modernize and standardize inspections of medical and dental colleges across the country.

A key meeting was held at the PMDC headquarters in Islamabad, chaired by the PMDC President and attended by 12 master trainers from different regions. The meeting finalized arrangements and technical requirements for the training program.

During the session, participants reviewed:

  • Training modules for inspectors.
  • The digital inspection process and equipment handling.
  • Assessment tools and standardized reporting procedures.
  • A newly approved Inspector’s Guide and documented protocols.

The PMDC leadership emphasized that the initiative aims to establish a fully digital, uniform, and transparent inspection system aligned with global best practices. The new framework is expected to minimize human error, strengthen quality assurance, and improve institutional performance evaluation nationwide.

Officials expressed confidence that the program will mark a major step forward in regulatory oversight of medical and dental education. By introducing a unified digital platform, PMDC seeks to ensure that inspections are consistent, reliable, and transparent, ultimately raising the standards of healthcare education in Pakistan.

This initiative reflects PMDC’s broader commitment to upgrading the national inspection framework and enhancing accountability in medical and dental institutions.
