Pakistan Gears Up for T20I Series Against Bangladesh

The Pakistan national cricket team has commenced preparations for the forthcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh. Players have engaged in rigorous fitness training at the gym to enhance their physical conditioning.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) disseminated a video on social media platforms displaying players such as Hussain Talat, Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, vice-captain Shadab Khan, and fast bowler Hasan Ali participating in diverse physical exercises.

These exercises incorporated weightlifting, back and shoulder strengthening routines, acrobatic movements, squats, lunges, and various other drills designed to elevate their fitness levels ahead of the series.

The T20I series is slated to commence on May 28 at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.

Following the conclusion of Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, Lahore Qalandars secured a victory against Quetta Gladiators by six wickets, thereby claiming the title for the third instance in the tournament’s history.

With PSL 10 now concluded, the players are shifting their focus towards international duties. The impending series against Bangladesh will mark Pakistan’s inaugural assignment under the guidance of newly appointed white-ball head coach Mike Hesson.

Originally, Bangladesh was scheduled to arrive in Pakistan in two phases on May 21 for a five-match T20I series, with the initial match planned for May 25 in Faisalabad.

However, due to logistical complexities and evolving security considerations, the tour has been adjusted to a three-match series.

The revised schedule was formalized after a productive meeting between PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi and representatives from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), including BCB chairman Nazmul Abedeen and President Farooq Ahmed.

Both boards collectively agreed to proceed with the series under the revised plan. As per the updated schedule, all three T20Is will be held at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on May 28, May 30, and June 1.
