Turkmenistan Invites Pakistan to Investment Forum for Enhanced Cooperation

Turkmenistan has extended an invitation to Pakistan to partake in the upcoming Turkmenistan Investment Forum (TIF) scheduled for next month in Ashgabat. This invitation was conveyed during a meeting between Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and Turkmen Ambassador Atadjan Movlamov, as both nations aim to bolster collaboration in areas such as commerce, energy, and infrastructure.

During the discussions held on Monday, both parties addressed matters of shared concern, with a primary emphasis on strengthening bilateral trade, business, and investment opportunities. This information was disclosed in a statement issued by the Finance Division.

Aurangzeb reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast dedication to strengthening its ties with Turkmenistan, highlighting the numerous high-ranking ministerial exchanges that have occurred between the two countries in the past year.

Movlamov underscored Turkmenistan’s deep appreciation for its alliance with Pakistan, characterizing it as a pivotal trading and investment partner, as well as an essential transit point for both bilateral and international trade activities.

The discussions also encompassed explorations into potential joint ventures and collaborative initiatives, notably within the energy, transport, and construction domains.

On behalf of Mammetguly Astanagulov, the Finance and Economy Minister of Turkmenistan, Ambassador Movlamov formally invited Aurangzeb to attend the TIF, slated to occur in Ashgabat in mid-September.
