Pakistan and Türkiye have agreed to deepen their cooperation in agriculture, food, and public health under a renewed Strategic Economic Framework. In a working-level meeting led by Pakistan’s Ministry of National Food Security and Research and Türkiye’s Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, representatives from both countries laid out plans to enhance collaboration across key sectors.

Building on strong historical and cultural ties, both sides committed to forming a detailed action plan ahead of the Turkish president’s official visit to Pakistan. Priority areas include livestock vaccination programs, organic farming, nursery technologies, fisheries, water resource planning, and aquaculture breeding.

Experts from both nations discussed practical models for public-private partnerships to attract investment and boost agricultural productivity. Türkiye pledged support to strengthen Pakistan’s agricultural capacity and export potential.

This agreement signals a mutual commitment to leverage expertise, share resources, and set a roadmap for multilateral cooperation across agriculture and health sectors.
