Pakistan Girls’ Netball Team Starts Strong in Asian Championship

The Pakistan girls’ team has made a remarkable entry into the Asian Youth Girls Netball Championship, achieving a significant victory against Saudi Arabia in their initial game.

The competition is currently taking place in South Korea, with teams representing eleven nations competing.

Dominating Performance

Pakistan demonstrated their capabilities early on, surpassing the Saudi team with a score of 71-15.

The squad’s outstanding play showcased their thorough preparation and strong desire to excel in the tournament.

Key Players Shine

Exceptional performances were delivered by Leya Raza Shah, Alisha Naveed, Summayya Safdar, Haleema, Sarina Hussain, Jasmine Farooq, Farah Rasheed, and Parisa, all of whom were pivotal in Pakistan’s success.

The teams participating in the championship have been divided into two groups. Group A includes Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, and India.

Pakistan finds itself in Group B, along with Chinese Taipei, Japan, Korea, Maldives, and Saudi Arabia.

Pakistan is scheduled to face Chinese Taipei in their second group match on June 28, followed by a game against Korea, the host nation, on June 29.

Their subsequent matches are against Japan and Maldives on June 30 and July 1, respectively.
