Pakistan and Indonesia have agreed to enhance their healthcare collaboration through vaccine development training and expert knowledge-sharing. Pakistani scientists are participating in a vaccine development workshop in Jakarta, aiming to strengthen vaccine research, manufacturing, and virology expertise alongside counterparts from other OIC countries.
The training program, part of a broader initiative led by the OIC’s COMSTECH and Indonesia’s health ministry, spans workshops, industry visits, and hands-on lab experience. Pakistani researchers will work in labs at PT Bio Farma and leading universities in Jakarta and Bandung, focusing on advanced vaccine technology.
This exchange aims to improve vaccine production capacity in Pakistan, promote public health resilience, and foster academic and industry collaboration between both nations. The partnership underscores a growing realignment of health diplomacy efforts, as Pakistan seeks to expand regional cooperation in biomedical innovation.
