Young Professionals Driving Pakistan’s Healthcare Transformation

Pakistan’s healthcare landscape is entering a new era of rapid change, with young health professionals emerging as the driving force behind this transformation. At the 10th integrated convocation of the NUR-Fatima Memorial System, leaders and educators emphasized the importance of education, ethics, and professional competence in building a resilient health sector.

Prof Dr Khalid Masood Gondal, Vice-Chancellor of Fatima Jinnah Medical University, highlighted that high-quality education and strong professional training are the foundation of a dependable healthcare future. His remarks underscored the critical role of academic institutions in preparing graduates to meet the challenges of modern healthcare delivery.

The convocation celebrated the graduation of 753 students across MBBS, BDS, Nursing, and Allied Health Sciences programs, marking a significant addition to Pakistan’s healthcare workforce. These graduates represent the next generation of doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals who will strengthen patient care across the country.

Prof Dr Nadia Naseem, Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University of Health Sciences, stressed that well-trained young professionals are essential to improving healthcare delivery systems. She noted that institutions committed to ethics and academic excellence lay the groundwork for sustainable progress.

Chairperson of the NUR-Fatima Memorial System, Shahima Rehman, reaffirmed the institution’s mission of nurturing professionals who embody compassion, service, and social responsibility. She emphasized that the graduates reflect the success of this mission, combining technical expertise with human-centered values.

Senior Technical Advisor Maha Rehman highlighted the academic standards and training frameworks that ensure graduates are patient-centered and ethically grounded. Meanwhile, Prof Dr Tayyab Abbas, Principal of the School of Health Sciences, praised the dedication of students, faculty, and parents, noting that graduation marks the beginning of their professional journey.
