Gold Prices Fall in Pakistan Amid Global Downturn

On Tuesday, gold rates in Pakistan experienced a decline, mirroring trends observed in the international market. The price of gold per tola in the local market settled at Rs347,900, reflecting a decrease of Rs3,600 throughout the day’s trading.

According to data released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10-gram gold also decreased, reaching Rs298,268 after a reduction of Rs3,086.

To recall, the price of gold per tola had previously reached Rs351,500 on Monday, following a Rs2,600 decrease during that trading session.

The international gold rate similarly saw a downturn on Tuesday. APGJSA reported the rate at $3,295 per ounce (including a premium of $20), which represents a $36 decrease.

In related news, the price of silver per tola also experienced a decrease of Rs60, ultimately settling at Rs3,448.
