The Government of Pakistan has opened 26 new vaccination centres in remote and underprivileged areas to boost immunization access and strengthen primary healthcare services. These centres are strategically located to reach children and adults who previously faced significant barriers to vaccination due to distance and lack of facilities.
Each centre has been equipped with cold chain systems, trained staff, and digital record-keeping tools to ensure efficient vaccine management, reduce wastage, and maintain safe temperatures. Health workers are mobilizing local communities, conducting outreach campaigns, and monitoring vaccination coverage to achieve higher immunization rates.
This move is part of Pakistan’s broader effort to eliminate vaccine-preventable diseases nationwide and provide equitable healthcare. By extending services directly into underserved regions, the initiative aims to close immunization gaps, support maternal and child health, and reinforce public trust in the healthcare system.
