SNGPL Seeks Revised Gas Price from OGRA for FY2025-26

Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has requested the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) to determine its Estimated Revenue Requirement (ERR) for the fiscal year 2025-26. The initial petition was lodged on January 26, 2025, followed by a revised submission on April 8, 2025. These filings are in accordance with Section 8(1) of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority Ordinance, 2002, and Rule 4(2) of the Natural Gas Tariff Rules.

An OGRA representative mentioned that SNGPL is proposing an average regulated gas price of Rs2,485.72 per MMBTU. This figure is an increase from the previously sanctioned Rs1,778.35 per MMBTU for the Revised Estimated Revenue Requirement (RERR) in FY 2024-25.

In addition, the company has requested a Re-Gasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) cost of service of Rs317.72 per MMBTU.

The OGRA spokesperson added that the authority will thoroughly analyze the request and make its decision public after a comprehensive assessment, adhering to established regulatory protocols and standards.
