OGRA Member Finance’s Contract Extended

The Cabinet Division has granted a one-month extension to the contract of the Member Finance at the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra). This extension comes as a regular member has yet to be appointed to the position.

A notification regarding this decision was issued by the Cabinet Division on Tuesday.

The federal government has been consistently extending the tenure of the Member Finance by one month to ensure the regulatory authority’s four-member commission remains functional.

However, the appointment of a Member Gas is still pending finalization. This position has remained vacant for the past two years.

Furthermore, OGRA Chairman Masroor Khan also received a one-year extension upon the completion of his contract in February 2025.
