NBP Installs ATM at Karachi Cattle Market
The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) has set up an automated teller machine (ATM) facility at the cattle market located near the Northern Bypass in Karachi, according to an official announcement made on Tuesday.
NBP stated that this initiative is aligned with the State Bank of Pakistan’s (SBP) “Go Cashless” campaign, which seeks to encourage digital transactions and greater financial accessibility.
Last week, the SBP launched a nationwide “Go Cashless” campaign to promote digital payment methods and decrease the dependence on cash transactions within cattle markets during the approaching Eid-ul-Adha season.
The statement further noted, “Dedicated NBP personnel are present on-site to assist customers and ensure seamless ATM operations, thereby improving the overall user experience. The provision of ATM services within the market setting diminishes the necessity to carry substantial amounts of cash, enhancing both convenience and security for traders, farmers, and purchasers.”
