Punjab CM Unveils Development Projects for Murree

Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, has introduced significant development projects for Murree, focusing on enhanced water supply, school modernizations, the introduction of Green Line buses, and a new train service.

During the inauguration of the Nawaz Sharif Cardiology Centre in Samli, Murree, the CM stated that this advanced facility for cardiac patients was completed swiftly and is already operational. She noted that five angiography procedures were successfully conducted on its first day.

Cardiac surgery services are scheduled to commence in the coming days, according to the Chief Minister.

She also mentioned the enhanced autonomy of Murree’s police, health, and education departments. Infrastructure improvements, including road construction, were completed before any public announcements.

CM Maryam elaborated on the enhancements planned for Murree’s educational institutions, the launch of a substantial water infrastructure initiative, and a new sanitation program. Furthermore, a dedicated tourism task force has been established with the aim of elevating Murree into a premier global tourist destination.

She highlighted the expressway’s construction to benefit millions of tourists and noted that the “Suthra Punjab” initiative is actively maintaining cleanliness throughout Murree.

The Murree Cardiac Centre will also cater to residents of the Galiyat region. A state-of-the-art hospital is slated for construction in Bhurban, and instructions have been issued to deploy three buses for Samli Hospital.

The Chief Minister also announced that an order has been placed for 15 buses specifically for Murree. Students, senior citizens, and women will be able to use the Green Line bus service free of charge. Additionally, a train service will be introduced to reduce reliance on private vehicles for tourists.

She commented that while previous administrations often made unsubstantiated claims, her government is committed to delivering tangible results without empty promises.

CM Maryam concluded by saying that despite challenges, such as the severe flooding in Punjab, her administration remains dedicated to ongoing development efforts.
