Lyari Building Collapse: Rescue Operation Concludes
After almost three days, the search and rescue operation in Lyari’s Bhagdadi neighborhood has ended, according to an official statement made on Sunday. The devastating building collapse resulted in 27 fatalities.
Assistant Commissioner Shehryar Habib informed reporters that the rescue efforts spanned 60 hours before their completion. He also pledged to initiate a crackdown on structures deemed unsafe within the locality.
The five-story residential building caved in on Friday, which led to a significant rescue endeavor. Funeral ceremonies for 20 individuals have taken place, and authorities have promised to hold those accountable for this tragic event to account.
