Shaheens Set to Face First Class Counties Select XI in One-Day Match

KENT: Pakistan’s Sajid Khan will not participate in the Shaheens’ tour of England. The off-spinner suffered a fracture in his right thumb during a training session held at Tonbridge School Ground in Kent on Tuesday.

According to the PCB, this injury is a setback for the Pakistan Shaheens as it precedes their initial one-day match against the Professional County Club Select XI. The match is scheduled to take place later today at the Kent County Cricket Ground in Beckenham.

This game marks the beginning of a three-match limited-overs series. Following an evaluation by medical staff, Sajid is expected to return to Pakistan on the next available flight.

He will receive further medical care and rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) situated in Lahore.
