BIEK Postpones Intermediate Annual Examinations 2025

The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has officially announced a revised schedule for the 2025 intermediate annual examinations.

Following the instructions from the board chairman, the exams, previously scheduled to commence on April 28, will now begin on May 5.

Reasons for Postponement

According to the official announcement, the decision to reschedule the examination dates was made due to two main factors:

  • The board is currently involved in assigning grace marks to all students who appeared for the 2024 first-year annual exams for Science Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, and Science General groups, specifically in the subjects of Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics. This process has impacted preparations for the upcoming exams.
  • Several examination centers are still being used for the ongoing matriculation exams, which commenced on April 8 and will continue until May 8.

To facilitate the efficient execution of the examination system and to ensure the availability of suitable venues, it was considered necessary to adjust the commencement date of the intermediate exams.

Students, educational institutions, and parents are advised to continue their preparations in accordance with the updated timetable.
