JDW Sugar Mills Completes Ethanol Project Trial Run

JDW Sugar Mills Limited announced on Friday the successful completion of a 20-day trial operation for its recently established ethanol project.

In a notification shared with the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company stated, “The Company is pleased to announce August 1, 2025, as the Commercial Operation Date (COD).”

The ethanol project, situated in Mouza Peer Ahmedabad, Kot Sabzal, Tehsil Sadiqabad, District Rahim Yar Khan, is designed to produce 230,000 liters of ethanol each day.

According to the company, the facility is fully capable of producing export-quality ethanol using molasses.

“This significant achievement highlights the Company’s dedication to increasing shareholder value through diverse and profitable ventures,” the statement added.

The Board of Directors conveyed their gratitude to all employees, vendors, and the management team for their hard work and commitment.

Originally established as a private limited company in 1990 under the Companies Ordinance, 1984, the mills transitioned to a public limited company in 1991.

The company’s operations include the production and sale of crystalline sugar and electricity, as well as the management of corporate farms.
