JDW Sugar Mills Completes Ethanol Project Trial Run

JDW Sugar Mills Limited announced the successful completion of a 20-day trial phase for its recently established ethanol project on Friday.

A notice issued to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) stated, “The Company is pleased to announce August 1, 2025, as the Commercial Operation Date (COD).”

Located in Mouza Peer Ahmedabad, Kot Sabzal, Tehsil Sadiqabad, District Rahim Yar Khan, the ethanol project is designed to produce 230,000 litres daily.

According to the company, the facility is fully capable of manufacturing export-quality ethanol from molasses.

“This key achievement highlights the Company’s dedication to improving shareholder returns through varied and profitable opportunities,” the statement noted.

The Board of Directors conveyed their gratitude to all employees, vendors, and the management team for their commitment and diligent work.

Established in 1990 as a private limited company under the Companies Ordinance, 1984, the mills transitioned to a public limited company in 1991.

The company’s operations include the production and sale of crystalline sugar and electricity, alongside the management of corporate farms.
