IRS Probationary Officers Visit FBR Headquarters

ISLAMABAD: Probationary officers from the Inland Revenue Service (IRS), currently undergoing the 51st Specialized Training Program (STP), visited the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Headquarters. This visit marks the commencement of their field assignments. The current on-service training group is composed of 42 officers.

Upon their arrival at the FBR Headquarters, senior FBR officials welcomed the officers and accompanied them to the Skylight Arena for an organized briefing.

Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial of the FBR presided over the session. Dr. Hamid Ateeq Sarwar, Member Inland Revenue (Operations), and other high-ranking officers from the Revenue Division were also present.

During the session, the FBR Chairman greeted the probationary officers and initiated a discussion, seeking their insights on the structure, functions, and operational issues of the FBR.

He carefully considered their comments regarding their experiences in the field and showed gratitude for their proactive involvement and dedication to boosting revenue collection.

The officers showed considerable enthusiasm for learning about the FBR’s institutional system and posed insightful questions regarding tax policy and its execution.
